Our Story

Hello, I’m Kate—a wife, mother, storyteller, communicator and founder of Perth’s first faith-based, award-winning media business (Awaken Media, formerly Spirit Led Media).

I believe more than ever it's time to come out of the trenches of fear and passivity, take ground and be God's voice and lens in our nation. With the new WA 'Hate Speech' Act, I believe we have a small window of opportunity to share the hope and truth of the Gospel freely, so I really need your support, collaboration and prayers!

My journey began in Poland and led me to Australia in 1991, where I’ve seen God rewrite my story from brokenness to purpose.

Since 2015, I’ve used photography and videography as a business to capture the stories of families, churches, ministries and businesses.

In 2022, God gave me a dream that opened my eyes to the darkness covering the earth, where I saw a bridge with a message of death on it. I heard His clear, urgent call to 'Give them a voice' as he spoke to me powerfully and said:

“I have anointed you to share the good news and heal the broken-hearted.”

In January 2025, inspired by Isaiah 60, the Awaken Podcast was birthed to reflect Jesus’s light in a dark world:

In October 2025, we have won the Australian Christian Business Media Excellence Award and we believe this was God's sign to trust him with the dream he has entrusted us with to change the world one voice at a time.

We have filmed and released 5 (filmed 6) full length video podcasts including authentic testimonies and bold conversations to normalise God’s hope and truth with various sub parts and 25 short form clips.

We have also given a voice to the Christian school community in collaboration with Australian Christians Party and shared testimonies from parents, students and principal and why faith matters in schools.

We have connected with various leaders in our city to build unity and community. We have also come alongside various ministries and helped serve to create meaningful content and also offered encouragement and equipping to raise up voices in the body of Christ to be the salt and light.

Everything we do is Holy-Spirit led, soaked in prayer and in line with biblical truth. We have various accountability partners within the body of Christ to ensure our stories and conversations are well balanced and under covering.

Our Goals

To continue the Awaken Podcast as well as the kingdom content creation, encouragement and equipping of the body of Christ and various community outreaches, I am trusting God for $25,000 in 2026.

These funds will directly support our 2026 goals:

*Content Production: 10 High-quality full length video interview podcasts including authentic testimonies and bold conversations around topics that matter in our world for social media, YouTube and podcast platforms. Our goal is also to create 4-5 short form reel clips from each episode to reach those who have never heard about Jesus, encourage those who are following Him and speak life and prophesy God's word over our nation.

* Launch our content on podcast platforms such as Spotify

*Kingdom Connections: Connect with various pastors and business/ministry leaders to collaborate, encourage, equip and build unity

*Community Outreach: Connect with people in the community through outreaches and also through our podcast and connect them to a local church and provide guidance, support and encouragement

*Voice Raising: Empowering and equipping bold voices through kingdom content and training and coaching within the faith-based school community, churches, businesses, ministries and individuals

*Upgrade 1 x new camera and lens

*Merch with bold messages of hope and truth such as t-shirts/hats etc

*Cover our ongoing video podcast, subscriptions and living expenses
